Sept 4, 2018 I'm not going to lie...

Not going to lie this week was for sure good but don't think anything like crazy or out of the ordinary happened ahha. I'm just trying to think about it. Well I'll tell you about that family that I talked about last email that the spirit led us to knock on their door. We got to teach them Sunday and it was sweet. We taught them about The plan of salvation and they were very impressed with how much we knew and how simple it was. That is one thing that I really have came to understand from being out here and studying. The plan that God has made for us is simple....doesn't mean it's easy!! But it's simple: we are here to receive a body and change and become better. There's a couple more things that go along with changing and becoming better but that is simply why we are here on this earth. God yes wants us to return back and live with him. But he doesn't want us returning back unchanged. We are here to repent and repentance is change. I really enjoy being able to study and teach on a daily basis as it helps build my testimony that what we share is 100% true. There is no if ands or buts. I just finished reading "Our search for Happiness" by President Ballard and on a couple pages he says some pretty amazing and profound things that I'll share with you. He says "please don't let this opportunity to receive personal revelation from God pass.". I love how this is put, we have a chance to know for ourselves and if we don't sincerely ask you are missing an amazing opportunity that you could be having!! The next thing he says goes right along with that. "Put it all to the ultimate test: Ask God. Listen for His answer with your heart, then respond to what you feel.". Just as he says, you need to ask.  But just as important, is the steps you will take to respond!! James 2:17 "Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone." is needed. You need to act on that prompting. O shoot I realized I didn't finish updating you about that family ahah. We got a return appointment for Sunday again to teach her how the church came to be!!! So sick 😝👍. But we also had another big thing that I have been really noticing and am very thankful for and that is the power of the spirit in conversion in every faze of life. It is so true what doctrine and covenants 50:24 says "That which is of God is light; and he that receiveth light, and continueth in God, receiveth more light; and that light groweth brighter and brighter until the perfect day.". I can for sure testify that as I have been out here the light in me and the light I have seen growing in others is because of the spirit. The spirit is the true teacher and conforter. Me being here is soley to bring the spirit into people's homes so they can be taught by the spirit . The messages we share are confirmed because of the spirit not because something I say or something I do. It is amazing to see how simply you can teach things and let the spirit do the rest of the teaching. Many times there is no need to go in depth with things as I have said before-the gospel is simple, why not keep it that way. For sure some miracles this week and it's been very amazing. One being we were talking to people downtown and someone chased us down and she was a member from Nova Scotia and she hadn't been to church in a year and wants to meet because she saw us walking! God for sure places us in the path of people to help them come unto christ or find the light once again. I love being here and seeing the positive things that come from sacrifice. It was pretty mild weather wise until now. Yesterday it was humid and like 32. But for sure the temperature is kinda dropping which is kinda nice Haha. I'm sure in a couple months I'll be asking for summer again but what can ya do Haha. Love you all and hope you are doing great. You are amazing and such great examples to me!!! 👌👑🏝🤘

Surprise, we got transfer calls! I'll be leaving and heading to the heart of downtown Toronto. I will now be in the Toronto YSA ward and training a brand new missionary for my last transfer. Super hyped I am staying in the city and probably going to my dream area to end ahh....well this past transfer was pretty close to my dream area as well haha. It was another extremely bumping week. We were able to find 5 new, have 3 at church and three on date for baptism!! It is for sure bitter sweet but I know God has some crazy amazing things in store for Toronto YSA and us. This past week was sweet as my companion and I legit felt like celebrities  . We honestly had five or six people either come up to us or over hear us talking to someone else and want to hear more about the powerful message of the Restored Gospel. October 29, 2018 New Area. New companion.

Well Peterborough is sweet. My new comp is from southern California and got to Canada this past week. We have had to walk a ton as the last Elders left no kms on our car. So for the past three days we have only walked, which has been intresting. Good though as we aren't working with a lot of people yet as it's only been a week. But miracles are happening already for our diligence and hard work. We have got two people on date for baptism on Nov.25 so that is extremely exciting. We were able to find 3 new people this week who we started teaching and got some more appointments this week which will hopefully turn into new people we get to teach. Theres a lot of uni students as there is a college and uni in this city of only 80,000 so it's been fun talking to a lot of them. A lot of them are really open and enthusiastic about God which is super cool to see Haha. This week there was a scripture that really stood out to me in Mormon 9:31 which reads "Condemn me not...

Sept 10, 2018 Staying and Training

Well transfers happened and I will be staying another here. But will be training a new missionary so that will be a new and exciting experience for sure. It is crazy to think its been six more weeks and now am going on 12 weeks here in St. Thomas. We have some super solid people so Im so excited to see them progress. For sure am pumped to see what comes from this next six weeks here. We were able to find a really awesome family to start teaching from knocking the other day before a dinner appointment. That family I'm very excited for. Another lady with three kids we found this week. She was in a rough situation and so she just got out of a bad place and now is really looking for comfort. We taught her once and she is very receptive and truly felt the spirit. Another one is that door a couple weeks ago we felt prompted to knock on is progressing and should be coming out to church next week!! Then of course we have a 9 year old on date for baptism in Oct.
