Nov 5, 2018: 'Thank you all for the emails and support'
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."(John 14:27). This is the peace I have found. This was another great week. Full of amazing experiences that continue to help reaffirm that what I am doing is the work of the Lord. So I went on exchanges this week with one of the elders in my district and it was amazing. He actually came out the same time as my last trainy last transfer so he's newer. But a monster at missionary work! We had a couple lessons that day but mostly went finding while I was with him. It was amazing to see his willingness to take positive correction and apply it! We were able to get 10 phone numbers/addresses in the matter of a couple of hours!!! Which is like insanely good Haha. Plus we got drenched as it was raining all night. But down side is my white shirt as well as my comps got like massive stains on it for some reason. Kinda annoying and it didn't come out haha...but what can ya do. Anyway that was sweet. I also read a really great talk this week about covenants and it emphasized why I was here. I know I've promised God that I would serve him and do all I can do to help his kingdom here on this earth grow. It feels amazing to know I am doing exactly that. I know in return the blessings that follow are going to be incredible and am for sure already noticing so many amazing changes in myself for the better. We still have our 2 people on date for baptism on November 25 but we are thinking we might have to push one of then back. Which is fine it takes some more time for certain people and we want to make sure they understand the covenant or promise they are making with their Father in Heaven. It's so great to see how hard work, diligence and obedience can change how you feel daily. I was able to give a district council on obedience and repentance and truly saw the major importance of both. One thing that I shared that I really loved was this "There is no need for you or for me, in this enlightened age when the fulness of the gospel has been restored, to sail uncharted seas or to travel unmarked roads in search of truth. A loving Heavenly Father has plotted our course and provided an unfailing guide—even obedience. A knowledge of truth and the answers to our greatest questions come to us as we are obedient to the commandments of God.....Life would be simpler for all of us if we would obey such rules completely. Many of us, however, learn through experience the wisdom of being obedient."( President Monson Obedience brings blessings, April 2013). It so true there is no need we already know the way we need to head because of prayer, scripture study and following the commandments. But because we are all natural men and women we seem to question things or feel that it would be better to do something else. This is where repentances comes in to play. But this is ok, God knew this was going to happen. It is important we actually do it though. Many people feel that it is shameful or embarrassing. That is satan, repentance was part of the plan and our father in heaven loves when we decide to repent. This puts us back on the path to returning with Him and He wants that for each one of us! It's an amazing and perfect plan we have been given. It's so great to be able to help others understand this and start actually applying it in their lives. The weight and burdens taken off of their shoulders is amazing to see as a missionary. This gospel is great and perfect, but the people aren't. That is why repentance is so key. Anyway enough of that ahha. It's been crazy rainy here. Still only one snow fall but its getting so damp and cold! But still isn't too bad. This winter is going to be another cold one out finding people to teach ahah. Well everything is great over here. Thank you all for the emails and support. Love u all. Have a great week!!
