Nov 26/18 BAPTISM!! It was super awesome and I felt so much joy when he got baptized...

This week was another bumping week out here in Peterborough. Miracles took place and it was amazing to see everything fall into place. So first of all we had our baptism which is so amazing! It was super awesome and I felt so much joy when he got baptized. I am so glad that I got to be there for it. He is a bigger guy so the elders quorum president and I baptized him. Then my companion confirmed him a member and gave him the Holy Ghost. As a missionary for sure a great opportunity to see the person you have taught decide to take that next step to be baptized. A great scripture talking about baptism is Moroni 8:25 "And the first fruits of repentance is baptism; and baptism cometh by faith unto the fulfilling the commandments; and the fulfilling the commandments bringeth remission of sins;". So seeing people decide to get into the straight and narrow and repent is amazing. As this is exactly what we preach and I try to live  . I was able to give a talk Sunday on obedience an

Nov 18/18 Being passively obedient vs actively obedient..& serving the Lord is great..

Aaaaooo everyone. Had a great week. Had Zone Conference and got to see some really sweet Elders. Also got some really awesome instructions. One thing that was brought up that I really enjoyed and made me think was, are we passively obedient (because I'm supposed to) or are we actively obedient (because I want to). We came to a conclusion that both our fine and good but actively obedient of course brings way more enjoyment. Things that come from being actively obedient are loving choices, sincere desire, and Humble response. Those sound like a lot better then fearful choices, dutiful desire, and prideful response (what comes from passive obedience). So you choose. Or I guess you can be the person that is completely disobedient which is about 40 steps down from passive obedience and about 41 steps down from actively obedient 🤣 . I want to at least be obedient so this for sure made me see the much joy that comes when we realize that obedience is for our good. When it's there fo

Been a real good week. The snow started falling as well as the blessings from God to us. We got another on date for December. So that's 3 on date for baptism now. I'm a 100% sure Heavenly Father is watching over and blessing us for the hard work and persistent diligence we are putting forth. The guy we put on date for December is a 21 year old guy that we found downtown talking to people last week. He had some free time so we asked if he would be into going to find a warm spot to sit and talk for a little, he agreed. We were able to teach him about the Restoration of the Christ church here on this earth. He was in awe and it was like he already knew it all. The spirit brought it to his remembrance. We all know these truths before we came here. It's our job as missionaries to remind people of these truths and the spirit will do the rest. It's been super awesome being able to be in a place with so many college students. As we have a big University and college here. Honest

Nov 5, 2018: 'Thank you all for the emails and support'

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."(John 14:27). This is the peace I have found. This was another great week. Full of amazing experiences that continue to help reaffirm that what I am doing is the work of the Lord. So I went on exchanges this week with one of the elders in my district and it was amazing. He actually came out the same time as my last trainy last transfer so he's newer. But a monster at missionary work! We had a couple lessons that day but mostly went finding while I was with him. It was amazing to see his willingness to take positive correction and apply it! We were able to get 10 phone numbers/addresses in the matter of a couple of hours!!! Which is like insanely good Haha. Plus we got drenched as it was raining all night. But down side is my white shirt as well as my comps got like massive stains on it for some reason. Kinda annoying and it

Well Peterborough is sweet. My new comp is from southern California and got to Canada this past week. We have had to walk a ton as the last Elders left no kms on our car. So for the past three days we have only walked, which has been intresting. Good though as we aren't working with a lot of people yet as it's only been a week. But miracles are happening already for our diligence and hard work. We have got two people on date for baptism on Nov.25 so that is extremely exciting. We were able to find 3 new people this week who we started teaching and got some more appointments this week which will hopefully turn into new people we get to teach. Theres a lot of uni students as there is a college and uni in this city of only 80,000 so it's been fun talking to a lot of them. A lot of them are really open and enthusiastic about God which is super cool to see Haha. This week there was a scripture that really stood out to me in Mormon 9:31 which reads "Condemn me not
