Nov 12/18..Honestly these young people my age are looking and so open..we need to go to work..that is what i'm trying to do

Been a real good week. The snow started falling as well as the blessings from God to us. We got another on date for December. So that's 3 on date for baptism now. I'm a 100% sure Heavenly Father is watching over and blessing us for the hard work and persistent diligence we are putting forth. The guy we put on date for December is a 21 year old guy that we found downtown talking to people last week. He had some free time so we asked if he would be into going to find a warm spot to sit and talk for a little, he agreed. We were able to teach him about the Restoration of the Christ church here on this earth. He was in awe and it was like he already knew it all. The spirit brought it to his remembrance. We all know these truths before we came here. It's our job as missionaries to remind people of these truths and the spirit will do the rest. It's been super awesome being able to be in a place with so many college students. As we have a big University and college here. Honestly these young people my age are looking and so open. We have been able to connect to so many of them and see them truly move closer to Christ or at least have a desire to. It has started to get cold so talking to people on the street is a little hard because of the weather, which is completely understandable. But we still are meeting some amazing people that are willing to learn. The other man and daughter we have on date for the 25th of November should work out. We might move the daughters date a little and keep the dads as she has been having some problems. But that's ok it should all work out! It takes some longer to progress and that's fine as long as they are progressing! For sure has taken me longer to understand certain things but am always learning and growing. Ultimately progressing in a positive way as long as I repent and change from those experiences. I have truly come to know that everything we teach and do revolves around repentance. Making everything revolve around Jesus Christ because without Him we couldn't repent. Repentance "denotes a change of mind, a fresh view about God, about oneself, and about the world. Since we are born into conditions of mortality, repentance comes to mean a turning of the heart and will to God, and a renunciation of sin to which we are naturally inclined. Without this there can be no progress in the things of the soul’s salvation, for all accountable persons are stained by sin and must be cleansed in order to enter the kingdom of heaven. Repentance is not optional for salvation" (Bible Dictionary definition of repentance). Just as this says repentance is progress and progress is the only way we will gain salvation with God again. I want this bad and know through faith and works as james 2:17 says and james 1:22 I and we can do it. "But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:" (James 1:22-23). I love this. We need to go to work. That's exactly what I've been trying to do out here. Forget myself and just go to work, we are here for the people and to bring salvation unto them. I know that it is paying off! Haha it's been good learning lots and growing. Sorry if this is all over the place just have so much to say and not enough patience to type it all ahah. But I hope you are all doing great.
