Summer is almost gone.....its crazy how fast time is flying. Like when I say that I'm for real!!! Like it's been 10 months now!!! Well it's been a pretty sweet week honestly as we had zone conference and I was able to speak in sacrament meeting! Also had a crazy cool experience with the spirit leading me to someone that I feel is very prepared to hear our message, so I'll tell you about that first. We were driving one night and I saw this family outside this house and we were headed to a teaching appointment. In my head I was like dang ok we got to go to that place in the next couple days for sure, they look like beyond awesome people. To be honest I dont know why this came into my head but it did. Legit was just a regular family but they looked special and I now know why. So yesterday we were doing some finding and I felt we should go to this place and knock on their door. So we did and there was no answer from the door we knocked. It was kinda like a town house si

August 13 Appointments + Discussions=A very tired (& blessed) missionary!

This week was insanely tiring.  There was so many days I woke up dead. But got through it. I was tired for good reasons though, we have been so crazy busy its unreal. Found another 6 people to start teaching and we are starting to have a crazy/a lot of teaching appointments. Looks like we will have a baptism coming up her pretty soon which is so awesome to see that. To be able to see someone make a covenant (promise) with our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ is so amazing and a very extraordinary experience for us as missionaries. I've learned that if you talk to enough people you will find the people will to speak to you. You have to walk into weeds to find the one flower Haha. Those weeds-hard rough though for real but when you find the flower you smile from ear to ear knowing God is there and he is preparing people for you to teach his gospel. We had some crazy miracles this week and we saw so many blessings. One being a man that just got out of detox decided to walk into our ch

August 20: 1. Meeting the Prophet. 2. Got beat up. Separate instances!

Another week in the books. We have been able to teach so much more, it's been extremely nice to see how much I've been able to grow from the beginning of my mission to now, teaching wise. Being able to truly study the gospel has made it easier to explain it simply. Which is exactly what is needed, as the gospel is simple. We were able to hear from the prophet last night as he came to Ontario and we watched it over a broadcast. One thing that truly stood out to me is the Prophet made things simple. President Nelson had such an honest smile and taught us about what we should be teaching our children and people around us. There was 9 points he really emphasized. "1. Help them understand why we partake of the sacrament. 2. Especially fathers—read the scriptures to your children. 3. Let them have father’s blessings. 4. Prepare them for patriarchal blessings. 5. Teach them the significance of BIC (Born in the Covenant). 6. Show them how all things lead to the temple. 7. Help the

Crazy week this week! Got my new companion now his name is Elder Flores hes from the Philippines. Still here in St. Thomas though in the boonies. Well like I said it was a crazy week and the adversary is really trying to attack us. We had some insane experiences that I don't understand but we also saw some crazy miracles. Here's one of the experiences from this week. We were walking in this community on the side walk and this guy yells hey Mormons come here and he ran up to us. To help you understand this more he legit was a block behind us and we were like what the heck. Anyway we stopped walked towards him and first words he said were "don't you two guys look like idots".... being me I respond well "I think I look pretty good actually" Haha. Kinda thought that we would just walk away after that but he continued on and in short didn't like what we were doing so started yelling right into our faces about many different topics. He being atheist

July 31, 2018 Love my companion but he's being transferred-Dang!

Dang another transfer gone!!!! My companion and I had such a great time together and honestly am so blessed to have served with him! I love that man so much he was so funny and just a all around great missionary and person. Very willing to work and be pushed. But it's that time again where Elder Fibke and a new missionary get to work together. My new comp I don't really know well but he is from the Philippines and hasn't been out too long. I'm excited to see what comes out of this transfer and what new things I'm going to learn. For sure going to see miracles as I know we will work hard and have a blast together. Also excited for this area as things are picking up and we have been so busy lately it's been great  . Ok so funny story from yesterday actually I want to tell you. So we were talking to people on the street after knocking some doors and there was this pigeon that's wing was hurt or broken or something so this old man was trying to catch it to help
