Exciting times! First week with the new companion was so crazy. Ok so first day was insanely awesome. Found like 10 potential people we will start teaching. Just from talking to people on the street. Set up three return appointments for the next day and all around was just going amazing. We got back home and were just super fired up for the next couple weeks together. Then the next day roles around.... I wake up for the first time on my mission sick. Ugh this killed me, I wanted to go out and work. But that day we kinda took it slowly as I felt really sick. Next day roles around. I try to push a little harder, so we go to a couple lessons and just do some zone stuff we had to get done. Bad idea!!!! 7:00pm comes around and I feel like my head is going to explode out of my head, it's to the point I can't sit still and I'm just freaking out (im thinking because of lack of sleep I have been getting and not drinking enough water). My temperature spiked up to over 101 and I ask

Lance writes each week recapping his week, which I (the mom!) post into this blog for him as a journal type thing for him to remember his mission. I couldn't find this week's email but he often sends the family little individual emails and I wanted to post an example of what he wrote to me this week. What a wonderful son I have! Hey mom love you so much. Hope you have a great week!! Love that quote a lot!! Also what the heck you aren't fat!!! Honestly just go back to working out a lot. Or do you not actually want to anymore? Well I'm like 170 and almost got a 4 pack Haha. Idk what's happening but still staying in shape and stuff. Which is super nice. Well mom love you so much. You are the best mom ever. Love your email. Love lance!!

This transfer has flown by. Its already week six of being here in North York. I couldn't be happier to be anywhere then here right now. This week was a lot of learning how we can better the mission and help the missionaries in our zones. We had the opportunity on Saturday to have a general authority come talk to all the zone leaders about how we can better our mission. His name was Elder Hamilton, he portrayed a powerful simple message about Faith and expecting those you talk to to be interested in the message of the Restoration of Christ's church. The spirit there was so strong and was honestly so nice to have had the opportunity to hear his thoughts and feelings. One thing that stood out to me is a scripture he read in response to a question one of the missionaries had, which was I feel so unworthy to be God's servant how can we know we are doing enough to expect miracles. He read Alma 42:24 "24 For behold, justice exerciseth all his demands, and also mercy claimeth

Dec 31, 2018..that was one of the fastest years of my life...

Well that's a rap for 2018 I guess. That was one of the fastest years of my life. As well as the most influential year. It has helped me change for good and grow for good-an incredible amount. This year has changed my life and view on what happiness is. As well as where happiness comes from. I am so thankful for what I have been through and will go through because I know I have a Savior that has been through it all. He can comfort and lift me in times of despair and in times of complete joy. Everything that was put in my path to make me a better, stronger, more faithful son of God. I know this 110%. Crazy to think this is the only full year I will ever be on a mission for The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints as a young adult. Just wanted everyone to know how thankful I am for my Savior, my family and friends. I'm grateful for all the support and prayers this past year and year to come. I was reading a great talk called "Our motivation to live the gospel". T
