Jan 21, 2019 New companion/put myself in the hospital (run down)/-37 degree Toronto storm...

Exciting times! First week with the new companion was so crazy. Ok so first day was insanely awesome. Found like 10 potential people we will start teaching. Just from talking to people on the street. Set up three return appointments for the next day and all around was just going amazing. We got back home and were just super fired up for the next couple weeks together. Then the next day roles around.... I wake up for the first time on my mission sick. Ugh this killed me, I wanted to go out and work. But that day we kinda took it slowly as I felt really sick. Next day roles around. I try to push a little harder, so we go to a couple lessons and just do some zone stuff we had to get done. Bad idea!!!! 7:00pm comes around and I feel like my head is going to explode out of my head, it's to the point I can't sit still and I'm just freaking out (im thinking because of lack of sleep I have been getting and not drinking enough water). My temperature spiked up to over 101 and I ask to go to the emergency room at the hospital. So my companion drove me. I'm so glad I went as they took blood and were able to give me some relaxation stuff through the IV. As well as some pain stuff through the IV. Which got me to a place i could function....so crazy. Anyway after four hours or so we got released from the hospital (11:30pm) and went home to sleep. Woke up at 6:30am and tried to have as normal as a day as possible. By Saturday we were back at it. Had three lessons and a ton of meetings. O also got another person on date for baptism Saturday!! So now we have one for Feb 9 and 16. God is truly blessing us. She is a solid Filipino lady that was so ready to hear the gospel. She has progressing super well and I am excited to see her get baptized on the 16. Sorry if this is all over the place. Honestly has how my week went. But as I was studying this week and went through all these experiences one thing really stood out to me. The priesthood. I was able to get a blessing the first day I got sick. That moment they laid their hands on me and even for a couple minutes after my head was completely clear. I need this as we were just about to go into a follow up with another Elder that had just gave his district council. I know the power of the priesthood is real and does work miracles. Just as President Ezra Taft Benson said "It is not enough to receive the priesthood and then sit back passively and wait until someone prods us into activity. When we receive the priesthood, we have the obligation of becoming actively and anxiously engaged in promoting the cause of righteousness in the earth". The people I chose to give me a blessing I knew were those kind of men using their priesthood and not just holding their priesthood. God truly has blessed us with his power here on this earth to help us in times of trials. I am so very grateful for that. Moving on from that Haha. It's been so cold holy cow! I check this morning... feels like -37 it said. So crazy. The cold has hit the Big city. But it's all good. Still having lots of fun and doing well. Well hope everyone back home is doing great. I love and miss you all. Have a good time sking, snowboarding or fun in the snow.👌👑💎🤙

Surprise, we got transfer calls! I'll be leaving and heading to the heart of downtown Toronto. I will now be in the Toronto YSA ward and training a brand new missionary for my last transfer. Super hyped I am staying in the city and probably going to my dream area to end ahh....well this past transfer was pretty close to my dream area as well haha. It was another extremely bumping week. We were able to find 5 new, have 3 at church and three on date for baptism!! It is for sure bitter sweet but I know God has some crazy amazing things in store for Toronto YSA and us. This past week was sweet as my companion and I legit felt like celebrities  . We honestly had five or six people either come up to us or over hear us talking to someone else and want to hear more about the powerful message of the Restored Gospel. October 29, 2018 New Area. New companion.

Well Peterborough is sweet. My new comp is from southern California and got to Canada this past week. We have had to walk a ton as the last Elders left no kms on our car. So for the past three days we have only walked, which has been intresting. Good though as we aren't working with a lot of people yet as it's only been a week. But miracles are happening already for our diligence and hard work. We have got two people on date for baptism on Nov.25 so that is extremely exciting. We were able to find 3 new people this week who we started teaching and got some more appointments this week which will hopefully turn into new people we get to teach. Theres a lot of uni students as there is a college and uni in this city of only 80,000 so it's been fun talking to a lot of them. A lot of them are really open and enthusiastic about God which is super cool to see Haha. This week there was a scripture that really stood out to me in Mormon 9:31 which reads "Condemn me not...

Sept 10, 2018 Staying and Training

Well transfers happened and I will be staying another here. But will be training a new missionary so that will be a new and exciting experience for sure. It is crazy to think its been six more weeks and now am going on 12 weeks here in St. Thomas. We have some super solid people so Im so excited to see them progress. For sure am pumped to see what comes from this next six weeks here. We were able to find a really awesome family to start teaching from knocking the other day before a dinner appointment. That family I'm very excited for. Another lady with three kids we found this week. She was in a rough situation and so she just got out of a bad place and now is really looking for comfort. We taught her once and she is very receptive and truly felt the spirit. Another one is that door a couple weeks ago we felt prompted to knock on is progressing and should be coming out to church next week!! Then of course we have a 9 year old on date for baptism in Oct.
