Dec 31, 2018..that was one of the fastest years of my life...

Well that's a rap for 2018 I guess. That was one of the fastest years of my life. As well as the most influential year. It has helped me change for good and grow for good-an incredible amount. This year has changed my life and view on what happiness is. As well as where happiness comes from. I am so thankful for what I have been through and will go through because I know I have a Savior that has been through it all. He can comfort and lift me in times of despair and in times of complete joy. Everything that was put in my path to make me a better, stronger, more faithful son of God. I know this 110%. Crazy to think this is the only full year I will ever be on a mission for The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints as a young adult. Just wanted everyone to know how thankful I am for my Savior, my family and friends. I'm grateful for all the support and prayers this past year and year to come. I was reading a great talk called "Our motivation to live the gospel". These points got me thinking: Here they are "Some of us may wonder at times if living the gospel is worth the blessings we’ve been promised. We might argue that we don’t fit in, that it’s too much work, or that the questions seem to outweigh the answers. But what it really comes down to is motivation. Why do you do what you do and live the way you do? Why do you continue keeping the commandments, even when no one’s around to notice if you do? Regardless of who you are and what stage of life you’re in, the choice to find your motivation by cultivating your faith in the Savior and His gospel is up to you.". I like this a lot as I encourage you to think and ponder on those questions. As well as if you aren't living in a way God would want: why? I personally have changed from a duty, fear base to more of a love base this year. I feel when I first left on my mission it was more because I knew God wanted me to so I would listen (duty). As well as fear of God punishing me or others judging me for not going. I now go out daily because I love what I share! It was an amazing day when I realized I was here because I believe what I was saying and teaching, not just saying and teaching the things I have been taught or told to say. That is when I believe that it turned from a fear base/duty base for me to a love base desire to be here. I am so grateful that this happened as I know this was a key moment in my life. Not only for being a missionary but when I get home and am put in situations to make big decisions. Well I'll share a Christmas day miracle haha. Right after skyping home this other missionary and I went to go get lunch as my comp were skyping home together/at the same time. We were driving down the street and I saw these two guys walking and felt we needed to pull over and talk to them. So we found a parking lot and started walking up the hill towards them. These two guys were from the Caribbean and were so open to meet up. Later that week we met with them and shared the Restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ. This was one of my favorite lessons here in North York. The spirit was so strong as well as he was extremely humble and ready to learn. I'm excited to see what comes of it. This makes me beyond hyped haha. It's so amazing to see when you listen to those good feelings to go do something and you later realize it was for sure the spirit promoting you to do that. I'm so happy to be a part of Gods work. Spreading the Good News of the gospel of Jesus Christ to everyone here. I love you all and hope you had a sweet Christmas and an even better New year. Love you all. 👌💎👑🤙
