July 31, 2018 Love my companion but he's being transferred-Dang!

Dang another transfer gone!!!! My companion and I had such a great time together and honestly am so blessed to have served with him! I love that man so much he was so funny and just a all around great missionary and person. Very willing to work and be pushed. But it's that time again where Elder Fibke and a new missionary get to work together. My new comp I don't really know well but he is from the Philippines and hasn't been out too long. I'm excited to see what comes out of this transfer and what new things I'm going to learn. For sure going to see miracles as I know we will work hard and have a blast together. Also excited for this area as things are picking up and we have been so busy lately it's been great ðŸ‘Œ. Ok so funny story from yesterday actually I want to tell you. So we were talking to people on the street after knocking some doors and there was this pigeon that's wing was hurt or broken or something so this old man was trying to catch it to help it out. He was going to bring it to some place to nurse it back to health Haha. Anyway we thought we would try to help him out as he was trying for a while and struggling, plus we were like if we catch this bird I bet he will talk to us ahah. So we did it took about 15min and we got a bird 🤣🤣🤣. We ended up talking to him and trying to see if we could set up a time to meet him and teach him but he wasn't interested. He took a card and we went on our way haah. Anyway good memory for sure as my companion and I were freaking out trying to get this bird that looked crazy Haha. So ya, that happened and was extremely funny. We were also able to teach a couple new people this week and to keep teaching some older people. This area is wonderful and I'm excited to see what comes of it as I will be here for another six weeks at least. Kk so I'll tell you a quick little something about my studies this week that I thought was wicked cool. So I have been studying "Jesus the Christ" and "Our search for Happiness" they are both insanely informative books. As you us these books along side with preach my gospel and the Book of Mormon you can learn so so so much. It's crazy how much I have been able to learn and grow in the gospel in the short amount of time I've been out. My testimony has grown so much and I am so grateful for that. But anyway back to my studies. So in "Our search for Happiness" it brought up a very impactful and insightful point to me. It was talking about how Jesus Christ could have restored the priesthood keys (the power to act in Gods name) to any church but he knew that they were to corrupt by man. Jesus Christ was not Mormon or from The Church of Jesus Christ of later day saints. He was Jewish in fact. But because he loves us so much he wanted to have those priesthood keys back on this earth to bless the people here. He knew that the only way to do that was restore them to the prophet Joseph Smith so he could start a church that wasn't run by man but run by God. Without the priesthood keys any ordinance such as baptism isn't like Matthew 18:18 says "Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.". Without that proper authority those ordinances are not sealed in heaven. This is why the proper priesthood is such a blessing to have here on this earth. I am so very blessed and happy to be able to hold that priesthood as well as be able to be blessed with it in my life by others ministering me. I know God does love all of us and wants us to be happy and this is where I have found peace, hope and Happiness. I invite anyone struggling or wanting to know about how its helped me to message me or talk to missionaries in your area Haha. I know they are there (the missionaries) because they are legit everywhere Haha. Anyway that's what really hit home for me this week while I was studying and I really enjoyed it. I am pumped for this next transfer and to see what comes of it. It's been cooling down a little and been raining a little more...which makes it so humid Haha. But it's all good. The sun is destroying all my pants its sucks ahah they are all so faded from being outside so much but I guess it's good-means I've been working. I am extremely happy right now and am doing great. I'll be honest like I'm not having the same fun as climbing a mountain or out on a lake boating, but I'm having fun in the aspect of helping others in their eternal journey as well as myself. Which is so important for all. Hope you all have a great week. Love ya!!! ðŸ¤˜ðŸ”¥ðŸ‘‘👌
