Dec 3: Going to the big city of Toronto!!...excited!

Well another transfer has gone by. It's crazy I'll be headed off already. But legit I'm so excited to head up to the big city of Toronto. I'm going to be in Don Valley and be watching over the North York zone as a zone leader. It's going to be a blast honestly am so excited. My companion and I will be white washing (so we both are new) just like this past transfer. He is such a sweet guy so I'm so pumped to serve with him. It was great to be able to train and be district leader these past two transfers though because honestly its helped me grow so much. For sure have truly gained a strong testimony of following the spirit, being obedient, diligent and patient (mostly with myself ahah). Honestly am growing so much and know there is no other way I could be growing this much if I wasn't here serving the Lord. Its truly been a massive testimony booster for me and has given me joy like no other. I felt joy back home but I now realize that it was more just immediate joy not lasting joy. It's hard to sometimes understand that because we want instant gratification. Many times don't realize if we were to wait or do something that may take more work it can be longer lasting and so much more satisfying. That's is exactly like the gospel. Those who take the time to diligently read, pray and are actively engaged will build stronger faith. Those on the flip side that don't will have to lean on others that are doing those things mentioned before. For example there's this guy we are teaching. He does want to grow his faith in Christ and take those steps to be baptized. But unfortunately, he doesn't want to practice or actively engage in living the commandments until he has a sure answer. He isn't showing God he is willing yet and probably won't receive that answer. Just as it says in preach my gospel "Heavenly Father knows our weaknesses and is patient with us. He blesses us as we rely upon His Son and strive to obey His commandments. He expects us to obey Him so He can bless us.". We need to be striving then while we come to know for ourselves and only then will we be blessed. "8 And again, I say unto you, I give unto you a new commandment, that you may understand my will concerning you; 9 Or, in other words, I give unto you directions how you may act before me, that it may turn to you for your salvation.10 I, the Lord, am bound when ye do what I say; but when ye do not what I say, ye have no promise." (D&C 82). As this says God will bless you. He is bound to if you do as he says. If you don't though He i'snt. Its simple, follow the commandments so you can be blessed . I love how simple everything is. We have great knowledge yet it's simple and makes sense. That truly is a testimony to me. We have a loving Father in Heaven that wants us to be comforted. Ok so a little bit about the week. So on Wednesday night we drove down to Scarborough to spend the night. We then got up the next morning and drove into Toronto. We got to go the temple!! It was 6 week follow up. So all the missionaries who came in this transfer and their trainers got to. It was so great to go to the temple and be able to feel the Spirit so strongly there. Saturday was the worldwide day of service. We did service for some members in our ward and helped this older guy with his groceries. Sunday we had a great appointment. We were meeting with this guy downtown who is on date for baptism. And at different times his friends came up to him to talk to him. What was funny and super awesome because all of his friends that came up we had met all of them before while contacting and they were all willing to meet up with us. So honestly it was a great week.
