Well, I guess Elder Lance arrived in Toronto on Monday evening!  We received a nice letter from his mission president with this picture taken the next morning with Pres. and Sister Shields! So excited for him and his new experiences! Can't wait to see where his first posting is and who is first companion is! As parents, we are SO thrilled he had such a great experience at the MTC in Provo. He LOVED it there!

Update: haven't been in the hospital this week hahaha. No I'm honestly back to normal now. Legit this week was crazy busy honestly. It was go, go and go. Most days we didn't have time for a full hour dinner or half hour lunch. It is such a blessing though. Time flies and we are getting so much accomplished, it feels super good. We had some insanely solid lessons with our two people we have on date right now. One was over video call via Facebook messenger as she was in a rush that day. We were able to read through Moroni 7 (talking all about faith,hope and charity) with her. She was so excited and she was able to really see the goodness the Book of Mormon brings to her. She has said multiple times, the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints sounds fully right in my head. She is just waiting for that confirmation in her heart that we know will come as she is determined to know for herself. August 20: 1. Meeting the Prophet. 2. Got beat up. Separate instances!

Another week in the books. We have been able to teach so much more, it's been extremely nice to see how much I've been able to grow from the beginning of my mission to now, teaching wise. Being able to truly study the gospel has made it easier to explain it simply. Which is exactly what is needed, as the gospel is simple. We were able to hear from the prophet last night as he came to Ontario and we watched it over a broadcast. One thing that truly stood out to me is the Prophet made things simple. President Nelson had such an honest smile and taught us about what we should be teaching our children and people around us. There was 9 points he really emphasized. "1. Help them understand why we partake of the sacrament. 2. Especially fathers—read the scriptures to your children. 3. Let them have father’s blessings. 4. Prepare them for patriarchal blessings. 5. Dec 3: Going to the big city of Toronto!!...excited!

Well another transfer has gone by. It's crazy I'll be headed off already. But legit I'm so excited to head up to the big city of Toronto. I'm going to be in Don Valley and be watching over the North York zone as a zone leader. It's going to be a blast honestly am so excited. My companion and I will be white washing (so we both are new) just like this past transfer. He is such a sweet guy so I'm so pumped to serve with him. It was great to be able to train and be district leader these past two transfers though because honestly its helped me grow so much. For sure have truly gained a strong testimony of following the spirit, being obedient, diligent and patient (mostly with myself ahah). Honestly am growing so much and know there is no other way I could be growing this much if I wasn't here serving the Lord.
