December 11, 2017 Monday Prep Day
It has been a wonderful week! I was able to have an amazing experience
going to the temple in Toronto with some new members of the church and
it really made me think and remember how sacred and important the work
is that goes on in the temple. I think since we as members go often we
start to forget how sweet and important that work is for the people
that have past on! But this week was fun we were able to do a good
amount of service we help a new member move in as well as went to
start building a big nativity out of wood for our Christmas concert
next week. I have already had such a great opportunity to serve and I
know that is so important to do because of this scripture in Mosiah
2:17 "And behold, I tell you these things that ye may learn wisdom;
that ye may learn that when ye are in the service of your fellow
beings ye are only in the service of your God." I am pretty excited
but nervous because they ask me to sing a solo in front of a couple
hundred people at the concert this Sunday, so that well be fun and
exciting hahah. But one really awesome thing I learned this week or
realized I need to implement more was being thankful for all the
blessing that my Heavenly Father has given me. In Alma 34:38 it reads
"That ye contend no more against the Holy Ghost, but that ye receive
it, and take upon you the name of Christ; that ye humble yourselves
even to the dust, and worship God, in whatsoever place ye may be in,
in spirit and in truth; and that ye live in thanksgiving daily, for
the many mercies and blessings which he doth bestow upon you." This
scripture as well as Luke 17 talking about the multiple leapers being
healed by Jesus and only one coming and giving thanks to him really
made me realize I need to be more thankful and daily thank my heavenly
father because I truly have been and am so very blessed! I love being
able to bring so much joy and happiness to people because I get to
help people come unto to Christ, that alone I am beyond blessed to be
doing at this time in my life. Anyway I invite everyone to just take a
second everyday and thank God for all that he has given you because as
you think about it even in rough times you can see so many blessings.
This week was so fun and I was really able to learn so much! Also it
is getting so cold out so that kind sucks but um yep only bad thing so
far haah. Anyway we have been staying pretty busy out here helping
people come closer to their savoir Jesus Christ through service and
teaching so that so awesome! I love being here and I am learning so
much here are some sweet pictures from this week love you all and have
