This week has been so sick! Truly am so blessed to be serving in the Toronto mission!! It has been a crazy week but so fun! I started off my week going to serve at the food bank for a couple hours and I always love that time I get to talk to so many wonderful people that help out there and serve the people in need here in Belleville. We were able to talk to so many little kids and families that were struggling and give them a source of food for the week. It's crazy to me that there are so many people here in our own country that live in some pretty crazy circumstances. There usually are the most excepting of our message, to be honest though because they are looking for help from their heavenly father which is so awesome that they see that he can help them. It honestly makes me really desire a good job and to continue to help and serve those people as it is really rough for them at this time. Being able to serve really helps me think of my saviors sacrifice for me when I start to complain in my head or don't want to do something I'll I got to do is think of what Jesus Christ did for us and it makes it 100 times easier haha. It's really a blessing right now to be out serving my mission in the Christmas season because many are more excepting and will listen to you because our message directly relates to this amazing holiday. This week we got three new people out at church which is awesome to see people wanting to change and come closer to there Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and really recognize that is a day we should focus on them. This coming up week my mom will be happy to hear my companion and I will be singing at a couple different churches Christmas concerts haha.I'm so excited because as you sing it really does bring a special spirit. Also been so fun being able to play once a week at the church a couple hours of basketball with some non-members and then share a message with them, we get to do that every Tuesday night which is always a great time. Being out here on a mission has been so far one of the best if not the best learning experience of my life. It has truly helped me come closer to Jesus Christ and learn so many new quality that I wouldn't have otherwise. Each day we get an hour of time to really study the scriptures and what an amazing thing that is for me! I have gotten to learn so much from all the stories in the Bible and Book of Mormon and find real gems in there. One great one that I came across this week was Matthew 5:16 that reads 'Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven". It is really short but has such a great message! To be an example and show men (us) that what you have is something they should desire to have because it really does bring so much joy to have Jesus Christ in your life and know there is a purpose here on earth. Last night I was able to go to a nativity thing where they had 300 plus natives all set up! it was so cool to see how many people were there and see that Christ truly needs to be focused on during this time of year. I love this gospel and all that it has done for me and want everyone to feel the same joy it brings me. Have a great week everyone!
