Went out hiking today on our preparation day!Jan 29, 2018
This week was another killer week. I want to let you all know that when I say that I honesty mean it, as it feels like i say it almost every week. Not always because it was the most uplifting or positive but because I am learning so much and growing. What more can I ask for. Another week of talking to some pretty funny, crazy and wonderful people. This week we had a guy we walked up to downtown and asked if we could share a card with him. He said yes I love Jesus. So we gave it to him (he was drunk). Anyway it got to the point where he was almost yelling, telling us how amazing we were and that we were sent from God and my companion and I were like what the heck is going on. Anyway ended up with a lot of people stairing at us and him hugging us and telling us he would for sure phone us and talk to us
. So that was a funny contacting experience from this week. Felt pretty sweet to know someone loved us regardless if he was drunk or not haha. But it has been a very positive and humbling experience meeting and talking to so many different individuals, in so many different circumstances. We also had an awesome experience with our three 14-16 year old boys that we teach and play basketball with. We got to teach them the plan of salvation. A lesson talking about where we came from, why we are here and where we are going. To see how excited, enthusiastic and optimistic they were after hearing that was such a testimony builder to see them see they have an opportunity to return and live with there heavenly father if they do what he asks was amazing. To recognize he has a plan for us is unbelievably touching and inspiring to know he cares so much about us to give us a way to return and live with him again. I am beyond blessed to know that we truly can do that as we heed to the words of our heavenly father and savoir Jesus Christ. Here's a shoot awesome video talking about that plan https://www.lds.org/media-libr

Also here's a sick picture of our ball group
I have loved being able to teach these amazing people here. It's been great seeing there progress and seeing them come out to church and make and keep commitments. So this week I was reading this great talked given by elder Uchtdorf called "A yearning for Home" and this passage in it really hit the spot with me
"Those who heed the inner call and seek God, those who pray, believe, and walk the path the Savior has prepared—even if they stumble along the path at times—receive the consoling assurance that “all things shall work together for [their] good.”
For God “gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.”
“For though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again.”
And the Lord in His goodness asks:
Do you want to experience abiding joy?
Do you yearn to feel within your heart the peace that passes understanding?
Then turn your soul toward the light.
Begin your own wonderful journey home.
As you do so, your life will be better, happier, and more purposeful."
What a blessing it is for us to be able to know we can obtain a "better, happier, and more purposeful." Life. Being able to share the gospel is such a blessing to me. To be able to do this at this time in my life is exactly what I need for me to become the best me possible. I hope that we all heed to the words of our savior Jesus Christ as well as our heavenly father. Anyway hope every one had a sick week keep being wonderful love ya all. π€
