May 28, 2018 Hot weather+wearing PANTS=mixed emotions

👌I want to say that hot weather is amazing and rough at the same time! Wearing pants in plus 35°C and walking 22km on Friday was mixed emotions haha. So we ran out of Km on our car till the end of the month so we have to walk the rest of the month which can be kinda hard and long when you got an appointment 10 plus km away haha. Good times though, my comp and I are getting to talk to a lot of people and talk a lot about how we can better the work here in Waterloo!!! But it's going well. We still got our investigator on date for baptism on Saturday. Depending on a couple things we could move it back again but all is good!!! We have been contacting a lot (going up to people in downtown and on the street and talking to them)!!! It really is crazy some things people say, think, act and do to us 🤣. Some good stories for when I'm home. It's crazy how many people love us and how many people hate us haha. One person you run into will say how amazing the work we are doing and the next is yelling at us and will tell us we servants of the bad guy hahaha. But good times, I know I'm serving God and sharing about our Savior which isn't anything but amazing. Alma 32:27 reads "But behold, if ye will awake and arouse your faculties, even to an experiment upon my words, and exercise a particle of faith, yea, even if ye can no more than desire to believe, let this desire work in you, even until ye believe in a manner that ye can give place for a portion of my words.". It's amazing to be able to see people just experiment on the word of God and see how it changes their her view of life. Like I can't imagine not knowing why I was here, or where I was going!! But I do know!! That's insane that we know such a question and to know we are here to be tested and prove to God we are willing to do as he asks. We are here to learn and grow and experience this extraordinary world that has been created for us. I don't know about you but I feel so blessed to be able to have such beautiful areas such as the mountains and massive high rises and so on. This has all been given to us to grow and learn here on this earth. The ability to know for ourselves if there is a God is felt by the spirit and anyone can know for themselves if they sincerely ask!!! John 14:18 says "I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you". God promises this and we just need to have faith that he will answer through the feeling of the Spirit. The Spirit is felt in many ways as it is explained in Galatians 5:22-23 "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith. 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.". As promised by our Father in Heaven we will feel these things if we ask if there is a God and any other questions we have!!! As we are sincere and truly desire an answer!! How great is that! I know that as we ask in prayer we will obtain a sure knowledge of the things I share in my weekly emails as well as any other questions pertaining to God, doubt and struggles. Well prayer is amazing and I encourage all to take on the challenge to pray as it could and will change your view on so much. Well kinda short letter but hope everyone is doing so great!!! Love you all and keep being sick. O ya also got to do some sick service this week at meals on wheels. Got to make a garden for them so that was lit!!! Anyway love ya, have a wonderful week!! 🔥💎O also staying in good shape and eating good ahah. We still run 3 times a week and work out the other days

Surprise, we got transfer calls! I'll be leaving and heading to the heart of downtown Toronto. I will now be in the Toronto YSA ward and training a brand new missionary for my last transfer. Super hyped I am staying in the city and probably going to my dream area to end ahh....well this past transfer was pretty close to my dream area as well haha. It was another extremely bumping week. We were able to find 5 new, have 3 at church and three on date for baptism!! It is for sure bitter sweet but I know God has some crazy amazing things in store for Toronto YSA and us. October 29, 2018 New Area. New companion.

Well Peterborough is sweet. My new comp is from southern California and got to Canada this past week. We have had to walk a ton as the last Elders left no kms on our car. So for the past three days we have only walked, which has been intresting. Good though as we aren't working with a lot of people yet as it's only been a week. But miracles are happening already for our diligence and hard work. We have got two people on date for baptism on Nov.25 so that is extremely exciting. We were able to find 3 new people this week who we started teaching and got some more appointments this week which will hopefully turn into new people we get to teach. Theres a lot of uni students as there is a college and uni in this city of only 80,000 so it's been fun talking to a lot of them. A lot of them are really open and enthusiastic about God which is super cool to see Haha. This week there was a scripture that really stood out to me in Mormon 9:31 which reads "Condemn me not...

Sept 10, 2018 Staying and Training

Well transfers happened and I will be staying another here. But will be training a new missionary so that will be a new and exciting experience for sure. It is crazy to think its been six more weeks and now am going on 12 weeks here in St. Thomas. We have some super solid people so Im so excited to see them progress. For sure am pumped to see what comes from this next six weeks here. We were able to find a really awesome family to start teaching from knocking the other day before a dinner appointment. That family I'm very excited for. Another lady with three kids we found this week. She was in a rough situation and so she just got out of a bad place and now is really looking for comfort. We taught her once and she is very receptive and truly felt the spirit. Another one is that door a couple weeks ago we felt prompted to knock on is progressing and should be coming out to church next week!! Then of course we have a 9 year old on date for baptism in Oct.
