My first week in St Thomas, Ontario (Very heartwarming says the Momma!)

St. Thomas is the littlest most amazing place. My new companion is so kind and humble. I am learning so much for him!!! His English is very good for only being here for a couple months!! I hope I can help him out this transfer with it though. He is from Hong Kong. We had a crazy sweet week as we started off the week with zero investigators- this area wasn't going too great but I know that Heavenly Father blesses us as we work hard and are obedient. Sometimes not always how we want, but this week I truly saw my Hather in Heaven's hand and we found 5 new people to teach because we put ourselves in places to do so. I can't explain how thankful I am as I was extremely worried coming into this area with no investigators. It makes me really appreciate how much my Father in Heaven desires us to find those willing and ready to hear the truth. I came in here excited but also kinda said as I was leaving the big city and an area I loved but this scripture really stood out to me and I felt it applied to me a lot. Alma 26:27 "Now when our hearts were depressed, and we were about to turn back, behold, the Lord comforted us, and said: Go amongst thy brethren, the Lamanites, and bear with patience thine afflictions, and I will give unto you success.". I was sad yes but as I have had some ups and downs I can truly see that as we do the will of the Lord we will see success, in so many different ways. I'll share one of the crazy experiences. We were sitting in church yesterday and this man walked into the chapel. We need he wasn't a member as no one had seen him so I went up to sit by him and talk to him. He had fresh style as well by the way! So anyway we find out he just got here from Jamaica around 4 months ago and he said he needed some spiritual uplifting as he hasn't made it to church for a while. By the end we were good buds and ended up giving him a hug and he's coming to our dessert activity with the ward. He loved how nice everyone was. We have a great ward! Our Bishop here is young and extremely energetic and it is so wonderful! These people are amazing and just straight up great people! Well imma keep working and hope to continue to see the blessing from on high haha. It's been a good week.  I love you all and hope you have a wonderful week. Here's a really great video for all you people out there. https://www.lds.org/media-library/video/2015-01-010-strive?lang=eng
