Oct 1, 2018:..how thankful I am to be out here...I am beyond blessed!

This week was insane!!! Let me start off by just letting you know how thankful I am to be out here. How thankful I am to be seeing miracles and how thankful I am to be able to feel the spirit more fully in my life. The peace and joy that I feel is so surreal and I am beyond blessed. It's crazy to think so many could be feeling this same feeling but choose to not to. I was reading a great talk that talked about responding to promptings and I can testify the reason I feel the spirit more in my life is because I am not second guessing anything, instead I am acting. The talk says "God’s counsel aligns us and conjoins us with the great realities of the universe; whereas sin empties, isolates, and separates us, confining us to the solitary cell of selfishness. Hence the lonely crowd in hell. Spiritual submissiveness means, instead, community and communion as the mind and the heart become settled. We then spend much less time deciding, and much more time serving; otherwise, the more hesitation, the less inspiration.
Yielding one’s heart to God signals the last stage in our spiritual development. Only then are we beginning to be fully useful to God!". (Willing To Submit 1985 April Conference by Neal A. Maxwell). I love this because like I said before because I'm acting and God, I feel, trusts me more. We have three people on date for baptism now. Two of which will be in October. One on the 18th and the other the 20th. Then one on December 1. God is truly helping us find those elect. We were able to teach 16 lessons this week so honestly most of our days our busy teaching. The average on the mission is around 5 lessons a week to give you a perspective of how much God is blessing us for our diligent efforts. We were able to have a good amount of people we are teaching out at church the past couple weeks and it's so amazing to see so many of them change so quick. I know its because we are utilizing a powerful tool, the Spirit. So I'll share a crazy story. So a couple of transfers ago we ran into this man. He took a card gave us his address and we had an appointment set to visit him. So we went a while back for this appointment but he ended up not showing...or so we thought. We kept dropping by for a couple days after and no answer so we kinda forgot about him. About a week and a half ago we ran into again! He said his buzzer was messed up as they were doing some stuff to his apartment building so he wasn't able to hear us he later found out. Anyway we were able to get another appointment and actually get in this time last Sunday. From that time till now he has read up to Jacob in the Book of Mormon (100 pages or so), he has committed to being baptized October 18 and is so excited. He attended a baptism with us yesterday of an 8 year old and was at church for all three hours! God does prepare people and this is physical evidence of that. Our other man on date for December 1 is so insanely cool. He is older now but honestly is so fun to teach. He has been shot 3 times has been paralyzed for 9 months at one point in his life and is still going strong! He was very hesitant to let us in about 2 months ago but know is anxious to see us! He loves the feeling he gets at church and when we come over. It was so amazing one day this past week we walked in and he said Elders look at what I have done! He had cleaned up his whole place and reorganized everything. He said that he felt he should do that as he wants a cleaner better life. The gospel even helps individuals desire a cleaner less cluttered life! It truly does everything and anything good that you could ever ask for. Just like Moroni 7:12-13 say "12 Wherefore, all things which are good cometh of God; and that which is evil cometh of the devil; for the devil is an enemy unto God, and fighteth against him continually, and inviteth and enticeth to sin, and to do that which is evil continually.
13 But behold, that which is of God inviteth and enticeth to do good continually; wherefore, every thing which inviteth and enticeth to do good, and to love God, and to serve him, is inspired of God.". Anything good is from God, anything evil is form Satan. Um isn't that pretty self explanatory hahaha. I know this gospel is even more then just good and can be the best if you apply it in your life. Change of subject but the weather has cooled down a lot. Rainy lots of the days and around 15°C. Big change but a good one ahah. My comp and I still are doing so well. He is such a great guy and a hard worker. We have been seeing miracles and know we can expect them as we have been and will continue to follow and listen to the spirit. Surprise, we got transfer calls! I'll be leaving and heading to the heart of downtown Toronto. I will now be in the Toronto YSA ward and training a brand new missionary for my last transfer. Super hyped I am staying in the city and probably going to my dream area to end ahh....well this past transfer was pretty close to my dream area as well haha. It was another extremely bumping week. We were able to find 5 new, have 3 at church and three on date for baptism!! It is for sure bitter sweet but I know God has some crazy amazing things in store for Toronto YSA and us. This past week was sweet as my companion and I legit felt like celebrities  . We honestly had five or six people either come up to us or over hear us talking to someone else and want to hear more about the powerful message of the Restored Gospel. October 29, 2018 New Area. New companion.

Well Peterborough is sweet. My new comp is from southern California and got to Canada this past week. We have had to walk a ton as the last Elders left no kms on our car. So for the past three days we have only walked, which has been intresting. Good though as we aren't working with a lot of people yet as it's only been a week. But miracles are happening already for our diligence and hard work. We have got two people on date for baptism on Nov.25 so that is extremely exciting. We were able to find 3 new people this week who we started teaching and got some more appointments this week which will hopefully turn into new people we get to teach. Theres a lot of uni students as there is a college and uni in this city of only 80,000 so it's been fun talking to a lot of them. A lot of them are really open and enthusiastic about God which is super cool to see Haha. This week there was a scripture that really stood out to me in Mormon 9:31 which reads "Condemn me not...

Sept 10, 2018 Staying and Training

Well transfers happened and I will be staying another here. But will be training a new missionary so that will be a new and exciting experience for sure. It is crazy to think its been six more weeks and now am going on 12 weeks here in St. Thomas. We have some super solid people so Im so excited to see them progress. For sure am pumped to see what comes from this next six weeks here. We were able to find a really awesome family to start teaching from knocking the other day before a dinner appointment. That family I'm very excited for. Another lady with three kids we found this week. She was in a rough situation and so she just got out of a bad place and now is really looking for comfort. We taught her once and she is very receptive and truly felt the spirit. Another one is that door a couple weeks ago we felt prompted to knock on is progressing and should be coming out to church next week!! Then of course we have a 9 year old on date for baptism in Oct.
