Sept 17, 2018..My companion & I are having a blast and seeing people change & come closer to Christ..

Been real good out here! God is treating us so well! It's crazy what has happened in this past week. First started off the week getting to see one of my favorite people Elder Earl from Cardston and stay at his place for the night in Toronto. Then the next day we drove together to pick up our new missionaries that just got here from Provo MTC. My comps name is Elder Braithwaite he is such a good guy. Legit need him! It's been so nice having someone not afraid to share the gospel. Both of us are so energetic and just so excited to get out there and work. We have seen miracles from it already! We have been averaging around 10miles a day walking. From this I feel the lord is seeing we are trying to find others on the way to appointments and other meetings. He is truly watching over us and blessing us. We found a man Tuseday and put him on date for baptism Wednesday for October 13. So we will have a baptism hopefully October 13 and 20 now. If that's not a miracle I don't know what is. The spirit has been able to teach and bring peace that many need. We have been able to find another 4 new people this week to share this amazing gospel with. Ultimately a message of peace, hope, and happiness. A message that helps us understand the purpose of life and how we can be with our families forever as well as return and live with our Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ once again. I love this scripture in 2 Corinthians 5:6-7 "6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: 7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)". One of the main purposes of being here on earth is to gain that faith. We need to strengthen our faith in the gospel of Jesus Christ and all those truths I just shared. But we don't need to worry if we don't fully understand them at this point in our life. Yes we need to follow them and walk in faith but we will receive answers through the spirit in this life or come to know them in the next life. This is not the end I promise. I'll share an amazing experience from this week of the spirit teaching and confirming truth. That man we talked about that is on date for October 13 wasn't able to make it to church yesterday because he wasn't feeling good. We went over after church to just check up and make sure he was ok. He said he was doing all right just not feeling great. We had the opportunity to talk about the priesthood keys and how we know we have these restored to the earth. The same priesthood that was here when Christ walked this earth. We explained one of the great blessings we have because of that authority is we can give blessings. We had a extremely spiritual experience being able to give him a blessing. After the blessing he looked up at us and said "can I ask you a question" my companion and I laughed and said of course. He said "is it normal to feel a tingly good feeling inside after blessings". We were able to explain to him that was the spirit and that after he is baptized that feeling can stay with him forever as he lives worthy because you get the gift of the Holy Ghost after baptism. I'm sad he didn't make it to church but the lesson that was learned I feel was very extraordinary and needed for him to have a confirmation that our church does hold that authority to act in Gods name. I know we do because of a loving Heavenly Father restored them to the earth. Just as it says in Amos 8:11-12 "11 ¶ Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord: 12 And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the Lord, and shall not find it.". There was a time after Christ was killed many couldn't find the truth because of Apostasy but it was restored through a prophet Joseph Smith. It was even foretold in Isaiah 11:11 of the coming forth of the fullness of the gospel for a second time. How amazing is that. God has had a perfect plan from the very beginning and knew exactly what was going to happen. Like I said it's been an amazing week and the gospel is amazing! I love how it can change and shape individuals into the people God wants us to be. I know it's doing just that for me and I am so blessed. My companion and I are having a blast and seeing people change and come closer to Christ. I am so thankful to be able to out here serving and helping others find the truth. Weather as stayed extremely hot and humid. But has been awesome as we are able to talk to so many people as people are out and about. Well hope you all have another great week and are doing well. Surprise, we got transfer calls! I'll be leaving and heading to the heart of downtown Toronto. I will now be in the Toronto YSA ward and training a brand new missionary for my last transfer. Super hyped I am staying in the city and probably going to my dream area to end ahh....well this past transfer was pretty close to my dream area as well haha. It was another extremely bumping week. We were able to find 5 new, have 3 at church and three on date for baptism!! It is for sure bitter sweet but I know God has some crazy amazing things in store for Toronto YSA and us. This past week was sweet as my companion and I legit felt like celebrities  . We honestly had five or six people either come up to us or over hear us talking to someone else and want to hear more about the powerful message of the Restored Gospel. October 29, 2018 New Area. New companion.

Well Peterborough is sweet. My new comp is from southern California and got to Canada this past week. We have had to walk a ton as the last Elders left no kms on our car. So for the past three days we have only walked, which has been intresting. Good though as we aren't working with a lot of people yet as it's only been a week. But miracles are happening already for our diligence and hard work. We have got two people on date for baptism on Nov.25 so that is extremely exciting. We were able to find 3 new people this week who we started teaching and got some more appointments this week which will hopefully turn into new people we get to teach. Theres a lot of uni students as there is a college and uni in this city of only 80,000 so it's been fun talking to a lot of them. A lot of them are really open and enthusiastic about God which is super cool to see Haha. This week there was a scripture that really stood out to me in Mormon 9:31 which reads "Condemn me not...

Sept 10, 2018 Staying and Training

Well transfers happened and I will be staying another here. But will be training a new missionary so that will be a new and exciting experience for sure. It is crazy to think its been six more weeks and now am going on 12 weeks here in St. Thomas. We have some super solid people so Im so excited to see them progress. For sure am pumped to see what comes from this next six weeks here. We were able to find a really awesome family to start teaching from knocking the other day before a dinner appointment. That family I'm very excited for. Another lady with three kids we found this week. She was in a rough situation and so she just got out of a bad place and now is really looking for comfort. We taught her once and she is very receptive and truly felt the spirit. Another one is that door a couple weeks ago we felt prompted to knock on is progressing and should be coming out to church next week!! Then of course we have a 9 year old on date for baptism in Oct.
