O my goodness this week you could say was amazing. It actually started off kinda sad as we had one of the people we had on date for baptism decide he didn't want to meet anymore! We still have another one on October 20 though. He said he knew we had the proper authority and he knew to return and live in the highest degree of glory he needs to be baptized by someone holding that authority but he didn't want to make that commitment. It's sad because he told us he felt the spirit and knew what we were saying was true. He said he was just going to come out enough times to get baptized by the proper authority and leave. So it for sure was not for the right reasons so I'm glad he decided to tell us. But still sad. Anyway moving on from that though we were able to find four new people to start teaching and had 3 people we are teaching come to church this week!!! Then we still got one on date like I said for baptism. God is blessing us so much I can't express how thankful I am. Every day my companion and I cannot NOT smile as we are having a blast because we are working hard and seeing amazing miracles. Heavenly is watching over us and the people here. He is preparing people to meet us and we are finding them! It's so cool to see the spirit that is felt and how the Holy Ghost does the teaching. We are the messengers that put people in an environment to feel the spirit and the spirit does the rest. There's a talk I read the other day about following the spirit and not hesitating. It's by Neal A. Maxwell from April 1985 conference, "Just as the capacity to defer gratification is a sign of real maturity, likewise the willingness to wait for deferred explanation is a sign of real faith and of trust spread over time. If faithful, we end up acknowledging that we are in the Lord’s hands and should surrender to the Lord on His terms—not ours. It is total surrender, no negotiating; it is yielding with no preconditions.Suppose Enoch had demurred when called by the Lord? He would have gone on being a good person, serving the Lord part-time, living in a city which was a slum compared to the glorious City of Enoch; nor would Enoch be a part of that scene of glorious greeting yet to come. (See Moses 7:63.)Suppose Peter had not left his nets “straightway”? (See Mark 1:18.) He might have become the respected president of the local Galilean fishermen’s association. But he would not have been on the Mount of Transfiguration with Jesus, Moses, and Elias and heard the voice of God. (See Matt. 17:4.)We have been given three special words—but if not—by three submissive young men who entered their fiery furnace, knowing “our God … is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, … But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods.”". I love this so much as so many times we hesitate instead of listening to the promptings of the spirit. This hinders our ability to work miracles and instead of acting, we question! Lately I have been acting instead of questioning and it's been so amazing to see how God prompts you a lot more than you would think to do things. For example: We were able to come in contact with this man on the street this week and had a great conversation. We tried to set a time to meet up, but he kindly declined. It was still a very nice conversation we had and we offered him some service if he ever need help. He took a card with our number on it to contact us if he ever needed anything. My companion and I didn't think much about the conversation other then he was a nice guy and we had a good talk. Well about 3 hours later we got a voice mail on our phone as we missed a call. That call was from the churches social media head lady in Salt Lake city saying this man sent her a message about how wonderful these two boys represented the church and how great it was to talk with them. He felt he should send in a message and just let them know that. So that lady in Salt Lake phoned our mission president and us to let us know that we were doing a wonderful job!  She was very thankful for all we did and wanted to just let us know what happened. This was such a tender mercy as this was the day that man decided to tell us he didn't want to get baptized. So it for sure lifted our spirits! Another tender mercy was from some text and a lesson we had this week. I'll send you a screen shot of them. But this man we found this week and he was sending us these messages for the past couple days and it makes me so happy to see that what we are doing is changing lives. We are seeing that everyday now and we honestly are teaching so so so much. It's great practice for my new comp and for me of course. I love being able to be out here serving and seeing all these amazing miracles on a weekly basis. Being able to see the gospel shape and change people, including myself, is amazing. I heard a talk the other day that said something along the lines of God loves us so much he wants us to return back to him. But he doesn't want us to return back him the same but he wants us changed and better. I know that this gospel does do that for others and it is doing it for me. It's been so awesome, weather wise. Its cooling down for most days it's only low 20s so that's very nice. It's crazy that it's another month and it's been a year. Time flies it's been a real good time. Love you all keep being amazing. 👌👑🏝🤘
