Sept 3-...I know I don't capture even close to all that goes on in our weeks but I want to let everyone know it is amazing haha..

Another sweet week out here!!! So much is happening its incredible. I know I don't capture even close to all that goes on in our weeks but I want to let everyone know it is amazing haha. The girl we have on date for baptism is still progressing super well and has been able to give up some things in here life that were holding her back a little. She also has been coming out to all the activities put on as well as church. We had two of the people we are working with at church and should be 3 next week. As well as we should have another guy on date for baptism next week. God has blessed us an extreme amount in the short time we have been here. Also was able to start teaching a Korean guy! He's about 23 years old and his English is extremely limited. He has came to church twice now. We felt it would be extremely helpful to have a missionary in our mission that speaks Korean video call in and check his understanding about what we have shared so far. We ended up talking to the Korean speaking missionary after and he explained to us that he has had almost no idea what we have been saying.....but for some reason feels what we share will and can benefit him. This was a really cool experience for two main reasons. One being how powerful the spirit can be and how it can touch the lives of those that don't even understand fully what we have to share. President Thomas S. Monson taught: “There is one language … that is common to each missionary—the language of the Spirit. It is not learned from textbooks written by men of letters, nor is it acquired through reading and memorization. The language of the Spirit comes to him who seeks with all his heart to know God and keep His divine commandments. Proficiency in this language permits one to breach barriers, overcome obstacles, and touch the human heart” (“The Spirit Giveth Life,” Ensign, June 1997, 2)" (also found in Preach my Gospel Pg.133). Second major thing I learned was how acting in faith and trusting that God puts opportunities in front of you for your good. I know what we share will help this Korean man gain more confidence as time goes on in this but for now he is acting in faith. I think there is something extremely important we can learn from this. As we trust God and act on things we know will be good for us we will be blessed and benefit so much!! Saying this I know it can be hard to actually act in faith and feel the spirit. I know it can be for me at times. But we aren't here to be perfect but to strive to do all we can to attain these extraordinary qualities. I was reading a talk and came across this "Perfectionism “refers to an inner desire or the longing to establish and achieve higher standards and successes.”" (What it means to pursue perfection). As we have a desire we can attain these I know it. Keep trying and I will to haha. Well love you all and hope you have a good week!
